Who We Are

6593 Analytics Group is a small, founder-led consulting practice focused on human performance and decision-making in demanding environments. The firm exists to bridge academic rigor, real-world demands, and the practical constraints leaders face when the stakes are high.

The work is led by Dr. Samuel J. Whalen, a performance scientist with a doctorate in kinesiology and sport studies from the University of Tennessee, with a concentration in sport psychology and motor behavior. He brings more than fifteen years of applied work across military, defense, and institutional settings, including service as Cognitive Domain Lead for the U.S. Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, supporting elite aviators, and contributions to readiness and evaluation frameworks across the DoW. He holds an active Secret clearance.

The practice is intentionally structured to stay focused, adaptable, and trusted. Engagements are selective and collaborative, with the flexibility to bring in additional expertise as a project's needs evolve, while keeping clear ownership and accountability throughout.

Why 6593

The company's name is derived from the elevation of Mount LeConte. At 6,593 feet it is one of the highest peaks in the Great Smoky Mountains. The mountain has been a touchstone for the founder's family for generations. The family has deep roots in East Tennessee and a long history of hiking its trails. Over time it came to represent a certain way of doing things. Intentional. Demanding. Never casual.

That spirit carries into the work. It reflects an Appalachian respect for effort and precision. Results matter more than labels. 6593 Analytics Group brings the same standard to human performance. Grounded in real environments. Attentive to detail. Focused on work that earns trust over time.
