Who We Are

6593 Analytics Group is a small, founder-led consulting practice focused on operationally relevant human performance and decision-making. The firm exists to bridge academic rigor, real-world job demands, and the practical constraints leaders face in high-consequence environments.

The work is led by Dr. Samuel J. Whalen, PhD, whose background spans applied research, defense and military contexts, and performance evaluation across complex organizations. The emphasis is not theory for its own sake, but clarity—understanding what actually affects readiness, decision quality, and outcomes.

6593 Analytics Group is intentionally structured to remain focused, adaptable, and trusted. Engagements are selective and collaborative, with the flexibility to integrate additional expertise as mission needs evolve while maintaining clear ownership and accountability.

Why 6593

6593 is the elevation of Mount LeConte in the Smoky Mountains. The mountain has been meaningful to the founders’ family across multiple generations, with deep roots in East Tennessee and a long history spent hiking throughout the region. Over generations, the mountain became a shared reference point. Intentional. Demanding. Never casual.

The through line of the company’s consulting philosophy comes from deeply rooted Appalachian heritage that emphasizes practicality, respect for effort, and a no-nonsense approach to work. 6593 prioritizes specificity and precision by measuring what actually matters rather than relying on labels or abstractions. That same mindset shapes how 6593 Analytics Group approaches human performance. Grounded in real environments. Attentive to detail. Focused on work that earns trust over time.
